I have a master's degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from Portland State University. I have also completed additional training for working with couples through the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Insititue. I have completed 3 of 4 steps to become a Certified EFT therapist through the ICEEFT. I working on completing the certification.
I am a registered LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) Intern with the state of Oregon. This means that I have 5 years to complete approximately 2,000 client hours to gain full licensure. With the "intern" status I am able to see clients much the same way that licensed counselors see clients, but I meet with my supervisor, Rick Johnson, a few times a month to ensure that I give the best quality service to my clients possible. If you have any additional questions about how this works, please contact me as I am happy to answer them.
If you would like to learn more about my training and expertise, ask me any other questions to help you decide whether I am the right counselor for you, or set up a time for an initial session, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
